As a kid, Ray had a strong interest in drawing. As he grew older that interest moved to graphic design. But then life got in the way and he headed down a different path. Instead of putting his creative juices to work designing things, he ended up in the world of HVAC and industrial refrigeration.

After years of working 80+ hours a week, on the night shift, he had enough. We decided to make the leap and start our own company, Back Alley Studios! Our shop is in our garage, in the alley. Pretty creative, right?

He now works full time at our home in North Dakota, designing awesome one-of-kind items. The amount of hours he puts in probably hasn't declined too much, but he's now doing something he loves.
